Sunlight Zone

The sunlight zone is the first and the brightest zone on the list

Here most of all aquatic creatures are found

Indeed, it is so vast, that most of all aquatic habitats are found here

Fish like parrotfish, green sea turtle, hermit crabs, sharks etc. have made this place their home

Twilight Zone

The twilight zone is the second deepest zone

Here light can barely penetrate

As it is the zone between darkness and light, it got its name twilight

Creatures like giant squids, jellyfish, fangtooth fish and spider crabs etc. make this place their home

The pressure here is 26 times more than the pressure on earths surface which would explode our lungs if we go there normally without a submarine

Midnight Zone

The midnight zone is the third deepest zone

It is so deep that light cannot enter giving it impenetrable darkness

Creatures like yeti crabs, vampire squids, tubeworms, pelican eels etc. have made their home in this darkness

Many creatures live here because of their adaptations like jellyfish which are 96% water and change shape because of the enormous pressure

Abyss Zone

The abyss is the fourth & deepest zone

The name abyss is a Greek word meaning bottomless as originally, they thought the ocean had no bottom (ending)

Creatures like blobfish, giant isopods, dumbo octopus etc. have made their home here

The deepest living fish - the Mariana snailfish calls this place its home
